Spades Strategy

When you are playing spades with a partner you will be seeing closely on what cards your partner is playing or throwing away. You will be doing this so that you will be able to play them or lead in to them.

If you will be playing spades without a partner you will have to keep track on all at the table as a part of the spades strategy and you must play into the hands of those players who are trailing.

• The main object of such kind of play is to have the leader put in to disadvantage.
• You might not be concerned about having to help someone else catch up with playing if this play will hold the leader back.
• Remember you are not going to get anything by finishing in seconds.
• The target is to win.
• Rather than thinking about what you can do, you need to better think about what you will have to do to if you must use the other players in your table for your advantage.
• Players who are decent will recognize that you are trying to work with them to assist in either bringing the leader back or to help yourselves to catch up.

An important of spades strategy is to not take revenge on the players if they have done something that did hurt your scoring. Never mix emotions in your play. If you are going to be taking revenge it will do nothing than to hurt your chances of winning the game.
