In the classic strategy card game of hearts you will be playing versus opponents and you will be trying to take as many little hearts as possible. And, whatever you do to make it you need to make sure to avoid the queen of spades! Otherwise you will have to take all the cards that can make a point and you will have to shoot at the moon.

This game comes in versions where passing is permitted and in some games passing will not be permitted. The queen of spades will not “break” hearts, and the hands which are played are for up to 100 points. Apart from that, 2 of clubs begin each hand. Eventually, no point cards will be thrown on the first trick.

In the playing of hearts there can be three to a maximum of seven players. Having four players is one of the best way. The players who do not prefer to end up with tricks will not want to have hearts or the queen of spades, but they essentially prefer to be playing with the Jack of Diamonds.

The cards are cut for the deal. The lowest stack will be dealt to the players in the clockwise direction, one card at a time and each of these cards will be faced down.

After each card has been dealt, then they choose 3 cards which they will pass to the opponent. The players will look in to their cards before they have received them from their opponents.
The cards are passed:
• To the right in the first deal
• To the left in the second deal
• Across in the third deal
