Shoot Out Spades
Filed Under tipsWondering how to play shoot out spades? This game is a game of rounds, technically termed as the game of tricks.
Each trick is one round. In each round or trick the player who is playing the leading suit will win the trick. In spades games, spades suit is the trump and it naturally has the highest value and the spades will beat any other card of a different suit regardless of the numbers of the other suit.
When it is your turn to act in shoot out spades you will have to play the card in a similar manner. For instance if the clubs are leading, if you have a club you have to place your clubs, if you do not have the clubs in your hand, then you can play any other card that you have, if all that you have is a spade card, then you play it. When you play spade when some other card is leading in this manner because you do not have the other leading suits other than the spade, then you are considered broken.
• Before the game begins each player will have to bid on the number of tricks or rounds, they think they are going to win.
• There is also an option given to players to make a nil bid where they claim that they will not make the winning.
• In cases where the team will be losing by 100 points the player has the option of bidding blind nil, which means that they think they will not win before seeing the cards.
• At the end, if the team wins the number of tricks they said they will win, then the points they score will be 10 times the points they said they will win. Bid x 10 = Score.
